The Original Hogs Breath Saloon was started in Ft. Walton Beach Florida in 1976. Originally a watering hole to hang at after a day of sailing or fishing, it quickly became a place to party. Once the military folks discovered the new hot spot, it was time for a logo! The logo was created with a local screen printer and the saying, "Hog's breath is better than no breath at all" is a modified version of a saying that the founder Jerry's grandmother used to say, "Bad breath is better than no breath at all."
Jerry opened the Key West branch in 1988. Since then it's the most popular locals bar on Duval Street, and it's a huge hit with the tourists too! The Key West Hogs Breath Saloon features a raw bar, and there's also a full service restaurant. Try the fish and chips - divine! Have some cocktails and then visit the Hog Shop for a souvenir.
